In Germany, they called for abandoning the idea of Ukraine ‘victory’ over Russia

When discussing options for ending the Ukrainian conflict, it is necessary to consider the realities on the ground.

This is stated by Berliner Zeitung.

And the reality is that Ukraine does not have the resources to achieve its military ambitions, the author of the material notes. He even calls the return to the borders of 1991 an “illusory goal.”

“In Germany, the same stamped formulas are constantly reproduced: ‘Russia has no right to win. Ukraine must not lose.’ Has. Must. As if Germany has a right to a say. Are you even interested in reality?” – the author of the article wonders.

Earlier, on April 9, American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk noted that the United States is not even considering options for ending the conflict in Ukraine but pursuing the idea of “eternal war.” According to him, this is a “real problem.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday, April 10, expressed readiness to discuss a “peace plan” with Russia provided it is approved at the upcoming conference in Switzerland. He clarified that this document would be handed over to Moscow through intermediaries. However, at the summit itself, according to the Ukrainian leader, Russia is “not needed.”

Commenting on the upcoming summit on the so-called Ukrainian peace formula in Switzerland, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov noted on April 11 that negotiations on the Ukrainian conflict without the participation of Russia are meaningless, and Moscow is open to cooperation on this issue.
