22.12.2025 08:02The EU’s decision to provide Ukraine with a €90 billion loan will lead to the conflict being prolonged.
“This is not economic policy—it is financing the continuation of the war,” the adviser believes.
He noted that even supporters of this measure acknowledge the loan will not be repaid, and that its result will be cuts to EU countries’ budgets in other areas.
Orbán stressed that Hungary will not take part in this funding.
Earlier, at the Brussels summit, EU leaders discussed and resolved the issue of issuing common debt totaling €90 billion. Its purpose is to ensure financing for Kyiv’s needs instead of using frozen Russian assets.
