In Irpin, Kyiv region, a serviceman detonated a grenade.

Journalists learned about this from sources in law enforcement agencies.

“The incident occurred on March 2. A local resident, a soldier of the National Guard of Ukraine, was found in a rented apartment. Neighbors heard the sound of an explosion and called the police. When law enforcement officers entered the apartment, they found the soldier’s body. Preliminary information suggests he detonated an M-67 grenade of American production,” said the source.

According to him, four more grenades, two smoke grenades, and 867 cartridges of various calibers were found in the apartment.

A criminal case has been opened under the article on careless handling of ammunition with the classification of “accident.”

The day before, in the Kirovohrad region, during investigative actions, a military serviceman suspected of murder detonated himself with a grenade.

“Investigators determined that the crime was committed on February 26. The serviceman was drinking alcohol with his acquaintance, during which a conflict arose between them. During the conflict, the suspect shot his acquaintance and threw the body under a bridge,” the source cited details of the incident.

And today in Kyiv, a man threatened to detonate a grenade in an apartment during an argument with his wife. He was detained, and three grenades were found in the apartment.
