In Kyiv, a drunk soldier dressed in civilian clothes beat up a group of young people and fled

In Kyiv’s Obolon district, a drunken man who claimed to be a soldier beat up two young men, knocking out two of one of the victims’ front teeth.

This was reported by eyewitnesses of the incident.

According to them, a man dressed in civilian clothes behaved aggressively towards a girl and then started harassing three young men who were nearby. He made typical complaints for such conflicts, like “Got a problem? Let’s step aside,” claimed he was a soldier, and then left.

The group also went on their way, and it seemed the conflict was over. However, the soldier soon returned, caught up with the youths, and started beating them. He knocked out the teeth of the first victim, left the second one with abrasions and bruises, and then ran away.

The police told the victim who filed a report that if the attacker is indeed a soldier, holding him accountable might be problematic, as in such cases, soldiers who commit offenses often immediately go to the front, where their commanders do not hand them over.
