June 20, 2024Today in Kyiv, there was a desecration of the graves of Ukrainian soldiers Dmytro “Da Vinci” Kotsiubailo, Andriy “Juice” Pilshchykov and Pavlo Petrychenko.
The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reports that the desecration of the soldiers’ graves at Askold’s Grave was carried out by a woman.
“On the morning of June 20, an unknown woman committed an act of vandalism on the graves of fallen Ukrainian defenders—Dmytro Kotsiubailo, known by the call sign ‘Da Vinci,’ Andriy Pilshchykov, known by the call sign ‘Juice,’ and Pavlo Petrychenko,” the statement reads.
The memorial plaques were torn off and broken, candle holders were smashed and the national flag of Ukraine was defaced.
Authorities are searching for the woman responsible, who faces up to 5 years in prison.
