In Kyiv, drunk men in military uniforms opened fire in a residential complex

Last night in Kyiv, at Sofiivska Borshchahivka, a group of drunk men in military uniforms started shooting.

This was reported to journalists by sources in law enforcement.

The incident took place in the “Shchaslyvyi” residential complex.

“A group of drunk men fired about seven shots from a pistol. Since this happened during an air raid alert, local residents initially thought it was shooting at ‘Shaheds’ (drones). But then they realized that the shots were coming from the windows of an apartment. None of the local residents were injured. The men barricaded themselves in the apartment and refused to open the door to law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene. As a result, the special forces unit KORD arrived and prepared to storm the apartment where the shooters were holed up,” the source said.

According to the source, during the storming, two men were detained—these were the only individuals present in the apartment when the police arrived.

Law enforcement is working to identify them. Investigative actions are underway, and they are searching for the weapon used in the shooting.

Preliminary information suggests that some of those who might have been in the apartment left before the police arrived.
