In Lutsk, a man who fired at employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center at a checkpoint was apprehended

In Lutsk, a man was detained for shooting at officers from the local Territorial Recruitment Center guarding a checkpoint.

This was reported by the National Police of the Volyn region.

The incident occurred on the night of August 27 in the regional center. An unknown person opened fire on the military personnel guarding a secure facility at the post. The soldiers returned fire.

“After conducting several operations, detectives, together with investigators and officers of the National Police’s Criminal Analysis Unit, located the shooter. Today, September 4, with the support of the KORD police special forces, the perpetrator was detained. He turned out to be a 40-year-old local resident. The weapon was seized and sent for examination. The motives behind the crime are being investigated,” the publication states.

It is worth noting that we previously reported that on the night of August 27, shots were fired at employees of the Territorial Recruitment Center in Lutsk, and one of them was injured.

Following the incident, the Volyn Territorial Recruitment Center announced that its employees would open fire to kill in case of threats to their lives.

“The jokes are over. You wanted the law? It will all be by the law,” the Recruitment Center’s statement said.
