December 27, 2024A teacher from Lviv, who wished death on children at the front, has been suspended from work.
This was announced on Facebook by Andriy Zakaluk, head of the city’s education department.
An investigation revealed that the laboratory assistant displayed “unacceptable behavior” during a physics lesson, leading to a formal reprimand.
The man explained that his reaction was triggered by ninth-grade students violating safety rules, which could have endangered their health.
Online sources alleged that the teacher was evading mobilization; however, it was clarified that he is of retirement age and has long been exempt from military conscription.
It is worth noting that educational ombudsman Nadiya Leshchyk reported the incident to the police, and the local education department formed a commission to investigate the matter.
Previously, we reported on another case involving ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, who contacted law enforcement to investigate a conflict between a physical education teacher and a displaced student at Kyiv School No. 37. In that case, the teacher used offensive language and threatened a student from the Luhansk region, referring to him as a “separatist scum.” The student recorded the teacher’s behavior on video and explained that the conflict started when the teacher believed the boy had placed a mop in the wrong spot.
