In Mykolaiv, a man was transporting a rocket launcher in the trunk of a taxi. The car was stopped at a checkpoint. The driver reported that the passenger might be transporting a prohibited item. It turned out to be a rocket launcher.

This was reported by the police.

“The incident occurred at one of the checkpoints in the regional center. Patrol police stopped a Mitsubishi car to check the documents. When asked by law enforcement if there were any prohibited items in the car, the driver reported that he was a taxi driver and was transporting a passenger who had placed a potentially dangerous item in the trunk. During the inspection of the vehicle, law enforcement officers discovered an item in the trunk resembling a rocket launcher,” the statement said.

The 27-year-old passenger said he found the weapon in a village after the de-occupation. It turned out to be operational.

The man was detained, and a case of illegal possession of weapons was opened against him
