Russia will demand in negotiations with Trump that Ukraine sharply reduce its military ties with NATO and become a neutral state with a limited army.

This will be one of Moscow’s main conditions, according to Bloomberg, citing sources “familiar with the matter.”

“Putin also wants NATO countries, which are obviously continuing to supply weapons to Ukraine, to prohibit their use against Russia or for capturing territories,” the publication states.

According to the sources, Russia’s conditions also include retaining at least de facto control over nearly 20% of Ukrainian territory already occupied by Russia. However, some sources say Moscow is open to exchanging some territories.

Western media have previously reported that Russia might return part of the territories it seized in the Kharkiv region to Ukraine while retaining control over the already occupied areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions.

Russia has not officially confirmed this information. The official position of Moscow regarding the conditions for ending the war remains aligned with Putin’s “June points,” which include the transfer of the entire territory of the four aforementioned regions under Russian control.
