In Nikolaev, a drunken soldier shot a man for a remark

Local media report another incident involving a serviceman who used a weapon against a civilian in Nikolaev.

A passerby man made a remark to the drunken soldier about his inappropriate behavior. However, the serviceman became enraged and shot the man. The bullet hit the hand the victim was trying to shield his face with. The assailant, reportedly a former police major, is now serving in the Ukrainian army.

It is worth noting that incidents involving the use of weapons in rear areas are becoming more frequent. Military personnel often bring weapons from the front lines and, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, commit crimes against civilians. There are also frequent cases of conflicts involving weapons among military personnel, even away from the front lines.
