In Ternopil, a man fell from the fifth floor while trying to escape a Territorial Recruitment Center

A man fell from the fifth floor of a TRSSC building in Ternopil.

This was reported by the press service of the Ternopil Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC).

According to the agency, after midnight a reservist who did not have a deferment and was violating conscription registration laws was brought to the TRSSC premises.

The TRSSC claims the man was intoxicated, which made it impossible to hold him administratively liable. He was placed in a rest room for reservists.

“At about 03:50, while in the bathroom of the sleeping quarters (5th floor), the citizen independently removed the window’s double-glazed unit, tied together his own clothing, and, attempting to climb down on it, slipped and fell onto the roof of the cafeteria located on the first floor,” the TRSSC stated.

The draft office added that TRSSC staff called an ambulance for the injured man. He was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the Ternopil Regional Clinical Hospital. His condition is currently stable. Law enforcement is working at the scene, and an internal inquiry is underway.

Earlier, media reported that in Kremenchuk a man who was forcibly brought to a Territorial Recruitment Center demanded to be released and threatened to use a weapon. After being refused, he fired at draft office staff.
