“The US and China will benefit”: Serbian President Vučić stated that Ukraine will lose the most as a result of the war
27.12.2024 - 15:19In the Kharkiv region, 39 searches are being conducted simultaneously at the homes and offices of employees of territorial recruitment centers and military medical commissions accused of profiting from schemes to evade mobilization.
This was reported on Facebook by Serhiy Bolvinov, head of the investigative department of the local Main Directorate of the National Police.
“They abused their authority, operated as a group over a long period, and managed to unlawfully remove individuals from military registration. These officials entered false information into documents, resulting in conscripts being declared unfit or partially fit for service. Additionally, this group facilitated the illegal transfer of men across the border. They were also involved in salary fraud, with payments issued to individuals who were not actually serving. For money, they ‘resolved issues’ related to the mobilization of vehicles intended for the front lines,” the post stated.
The police uncovered these schemes, searched all involved parties, and seized money, assets, military records, and medical documents.
In the fall, media outlets reported on a case in Volyn where the head of a territorial recruitment center issued documents declaring individuals unfit for military service for $3,000.
Additionally, there were reports about the son of a head of one of Vinnytsia’s territorial recruitment centers who offered to arrange the necessary documents for a local resident to leave the country in exchange for a large bribe.
