In the Kharkiv region, fortifications worth 50 million euros were ordered during the Russian offensive

The construction of fortifications in the Kharkiv region is planned, where battles with the advancing Russian army are already in full swing.

Such a decision could be considered logical in the conditions of war, but for the past two years of war, no fortifications have been built there. At the same time, two weeks ago, Ukrainian military announced a large concentration of Russian troops in the Kharkiv direction, and it is likely that a more massive offensive will begin there in the coming weeks. Although attacks have been ongoing for several weeks now, during which Ukrainian military have been gradually retreating. Moreover, the work is scheduled to be completed by January 30, 2025, which is absurd, as the situation on the front may change drastically by that time.
