After two years of war, Ukrainians become pessimistic
26.02.2024 16:47The past couple of weeks have been “extremely successful” for Vladimir Putin.
This was stated by former CIA head of operations in Russia, Steven Hall, in an interview with CNN.
And for the most part, this is due to the waning Western support for Ukraine — something Putin has been warning his people about for two years and which is now unfolding before the eyes of the whole world.
According to the former intelligence officer, even some of Putin’s closest associates did not believe that the West would start turning away from Kiev.
“However, now, two years later, he can confidently tell them that patience pays off,” Hall notes.
“I think he is very confident in the situation and will continue on the same path he has been following from the very beginning,” adds the expert.
