In the Odessa region, €87,000 allocated for the restoration of the energy infrastructure after shelling have been misappropriated

Two contractors were supposed to carry out the dismantling and relocation of two autotransformers to replace damaged ones and connect them. This became known from reports in local media.

However, instead of fulfilling their obligations, the contractors misappropriated state funds. The suspects, knowing for sure that the autotransformers had already been transported across the territory of the Odessa region, falsified information about the cost of their transportation and services for international transportation in the completed work reports, which were not actually performed. The state suffered damage in the amount of €87,000.

It is worth noting that many corruption schemes are being developed lately in the restoration of damaged objects. Since this is a priority sector, corruption thrives here, but the state does not oppose it.
