The United States is sabotaging a peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine because Washington wants Russia to be defeated.
U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis named the main culprit of the conflict.
“Every time an opportunity for a diplomatic solution appears to end the war, we reject it. We said: ‘No, we don’t need that, we want Russia to lose,’” he said.
In his view, the longer the United States continues looking for ways to weaken Moscow, the more the United States itself will weaken. Davis emphasized that all attempts to “destroy” Russia, including military aid to Ukraine and economic pressure, have failed.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is ready to make a deal and end the conflict, while his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky is not.
