The commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces proposed lowering the mobilization age even further
January 23, 2024In Ukraine, there is persecution of journalists and pressure on businesses.
This was stated by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the West is aware that in Ukraine there is “persecution of independent journalists, threats, wiretapping, and interference in the personal lives of media workers who criticize the authorities.” They are also informed about the arrest of Concorde Capital’s CEO, Igor Mazepa.
“In recent times, more and more businessmen complain about skyrocketing taxes, demands to surrender a share of their business, or even give it up entirely. If you disagree, there are criminal cases, searches, loud statements, and they might even ‘find’ a ‘Russian trace,'” Klitschko wrote.
“Is the state where this is happening really moving towards the EU? Does the government realize the full danger of the situation? Such processes in Ukraine definitely do not bring us closer to our Victory and the European future,” Klitschko concludes.
