In the Zaporizhzhia region, defensive fortifications will not be constructed due to the government’s failure to allocate funds

Local authorities had hoped to purchase 45,000 concrete pyramids for 2.1 million euros. However, the Zaporizhzhia Regional Administration canceled the open tender for the procurement of defense-related items.

On January 15, local authorities held an auction attended by three participants. By mid-March, all goods were supposed to be delivered. However, the client announced the cancellation of the tender due to the lack of funding from the state budget. In a memorandum from the Director of the Department of Finance, Sergey Medvedya, it is stated that the funds for the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration have not been received from the state budget. Additionally, there is no executive document from the Cabinet of Ministers regarding the allocation of funds from the state budget of the Zaporizhzhia region for these purposes.

Furthermore, the Capital Construction Department of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration canceled another tender for the procurement of equipment for the construction of a platoon-strong point with an expected cost of 2.8 million euros. This time, the reason was the absence of applications from potential participants.
