Today in Zakarpattia, Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) carried out searches not only at the home of Andriy Savchuk, head of the Zakarpattia Regional Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TCC and SP).
Investigative actions are also taking place at the regional TCC in Uzhhorod, as well as in Mukachevo, Svaliava, Volovets, and generally across the entire Zakarpattia region.
This was reported on Telegram by Zakarpattia journalist Vitaliy Glagola, citing subscribers.
According to the journalist’s sources, they saw law enforcement officers inside TCC premises or near the private homes of officials. Searches were conducted at the residences of TCC heads: Mykola Myhaleyko, Andriy Oleshchuk, Viacheslav Dvorskyi, and Ihor Pavlov. Glagola added that SBU officers found about $100,000 in cash at Savchuk’s home that had not been declared.
“All of this points to a large-scale and coordinated law enforcement operation taking place simultaneously in several districts of Zakarpattia,” Glagola concluded.
The SBU confirmed the searches and said they are being conducted as part of a case concerning the unlawful deprivation of a person’s liberty.
