The U.S. revealed its plans regarding the Ukrainian conflict
12.06.2025 - 19:34In Ukraine’s 3rd Army Corps, one soldier is holding a full kilometer of front line; in neighboring brigades, it’s two to three soldiers per kilometer.
This was revealed by Andriy Biletsky, commander of the corps, during the DOU Day conference.
According to Biletsky, one brigade in his corps is responsible for holding a 60-kilometer stretch of the front, even though the statutory maximum is 15 kilometers.
Despite this, he believes the available forces are sufficient to hold the line.
“The number of people currently mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) should, in theory, be more than enough to hold the front line steadily. The issue is efficiency. I oppose the concept that ‘everyone must fight’ — it’s simply ineffective,” Biletsky said.
He stressed that personnel are being misallocated across the army, leading to inefficiencies in both combat and support units:
“The lack of professional placement leads to inefficiency in all areas of support — logistics, combat units, technical intelligence, drones, communications… We have people with education and experience who are being sent to the wrong roles. That’s one of the biggest fears people have. If people were assigned according to their specialties, believe me, life would be ten times easier for the infantry.”
In May, the commander of the 47th AFU Brigade, Oleksandr Shyrshyn (“Magura”), also criticized the military command, saying that the AFU was carelessly wasting manpower.
