In Ukraine, the issuance of driver’s licenses, exams, and vehicle registration will increase in price tens of times

Starting from January 1st, the issuance of driver’s licenses, exams, and vehicle registration in Ukraine will significantly increase in price.

The corresponding resolution, No. 1386, was adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

The fees for services provided by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine will see a considerable rise:

• Issuance of a driver’s license will increase from 26 hryvnias to 230 hryvnias.
• The theoretical exam fee will go up from 13 hryvnias to 250 hryvnias.
• The practical exam fee will rise from 13 hryvnias to 420 hryvnias.
• Registration, re-registration of vehicles with the assignment of license plates, and deregistration will increase from 200 hryvnias to 350 hryvnias.

It’s worth reminding that Ukrainians have been allowed to take the theoretical exam for obtaining a driver’s license without mandatory training in a driving school. Future drivers will have the choice to either study the rules of the road in a driving school or independently grasp the theoretical knowledge.
