‘Died for the sake of media coverage’: a participant in the Ukrainian landing on Tendrovskaya Spit shared details of the raid
March 1, 2024The Ukrainian army most needs “initiative and competitive” young people aged eighteen to twenty.
This was stated by Roman Kostenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
“Sometimes it’s difficult for people in their forties or fifties to quickly adapt to fighting with drones and competing with young people aged 18-20. Who are not being conscripted right now,” said the MP.
He emphasized that these are the people the Ukrainian army needs most.
“In my unit, one of the best fighters is a guy whose parents took him to a psychologist at one point to cure him of his addiction to computer games. Although, I think he’ll still have to see a psychologist. I’m just giving you an example. But this example shows us the kind of people we need. Youth who are initiative, competitive and ready for adventure. The older generation has less of that,” Kostenko added.
