A U.S. general who coordinated aid to Ukraine got drunk in Kyiv, fell, and suffered a concussion, a Pentagon report says
17.03.2026 08:40A shortage of missiles for Patriot systems could become a “big problem” for Ukraine.
Weapons expert Ivan Kyrychevskyi from Defense Express told RBC-Ukraine this.
“If we talk about the short term, we may fairly quickly face the fact that we will need missiles for Patriot, and we won’t be able to find even 30 anywhere, because they may not be available either in Europe or in the U.S. And that will be a big problem,” he said.
Kyrychevskyi also said that Russia “manages to produce more ballistic missiles than the Americans are theoretically capable of producing Patriot missiles.”
At the same time, the expert expressed hope that “some asymmetric solution will be found by this autumn.”
Earlier, analyst Mykola Bielieskov of Ukraine’s National Institute for Strategic Studies told The Times that at current production rates, U.S. defense company Lockheed Martin would need more than two years to produce as many Patriot missiles as the U.S. fired in the first two days of the war with Iran.
On March 12, Politico wrote that Europe fears U.S. weapons supplies to Ukraine could stop because the U.S. is rapidly expending ammunition in the conflict against Iran. The New York Times also wrote that air-defense missiles are being used up quickly in the Middle East.
