September 4, 2023Instead of Rustem Umerov, Olga Pishchanska will head the State Property Fund of Ukraine. She previously served as the head of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine.
According to reports in the media, her sister, Svetlana Pishchanska, is the director of an Italian company that manages the Zelensky family’s villa in Italy.
Olga Pishchanska was born on November 16, 1975, and studied at the Kryvyi Rih Technical University. Over time, she obtained a master’s degree in economics in the field of entrepreneurship from Kyiv National Economic University.
Before her appointment to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, she worked as a procurement manager at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih from 2004 to 2015. When she became the First Deputy Chairman of the Antimonopoly Committee, open sources reported on a journalistic investigation indicating that her sister, Svetlana Pishchanska, managed the affairs of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, in Italy.
The investigation also mentioned that Svetlana Pishchanska was a sponsor of the political party “Servant of the People,” and there were allegations that the president had transferred his business interests to her. The case pertained to a company that was registered as the owner of a 15-room villa belonging to the president on Italian territory in 2019. Svetlana Pishchanska became its director.
Over time, Olga Pishchanska commented on this matter, stating that she had “built her entire path herself.”
