Coordinator of the National Security Council for Strategic Communications John Kirby acknowledged during his press conference that the approved aid package for Ukraine on December 27th was the last one.
According to him, no new aid package is currently in the works, and there are no plans for one. He notes that his department has exhausted its capabilities.
Moreover, he is unaware of whether any part of the weaponry from this last package has reached Ukraine: “Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks or more.”
Therefore, according to him, it is crucial for the United States to secure Congress approval for new funding to aid Ukraine.
