The next round of talks between Ukraine, Russia, and the United States is expected to take place on March 11 in Istanbul.
Ukrainian media reported, citing sources.
At the same time, President Volodymyr Zelensky’s adviser Dmytro Lytvyn said that this information does not correspond to reality.
Zelensky himself said that the U.S.–Ukraine–Russia meeting that had been planned for this week is being postponed because of the situation with Iran, at Washington’s initiative.
“I held a meeting with our negotiating team. It’s important that we are in contact with the American side virtually 24/7. Our partners’ priority and full attention is the situation around Iran, and therefore the meeting that was planned for this week at the American side’s proposal is being postponed. But Ukraine is ready to meet at any moment in any format that can help and that is realistic in terms of ending the war,” he wrote.
Earlier, in a video address, Zelensky had already said that peace talks on Ukraine are currently on pause because of the war in Iran.
