04.11.2026 07:04An “emergency situation” with electricity supply has developed in Kyiv, and water supply disruptions are also being observed.
This was stated by the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, in his Telegram channel.
According to Klitschko, energy workers are working to restore electricity supply.
“Both generation and electricity transmission have been damaged across the entire country. Also, as a result of attacks in recent days, facilities of the Kyiv regional energy hub have been damaged. Therefore, Ukrenergo introduced emergency power outages,” Klitschko wrote.
The mayor noted that the emergency situation has led to disruptions in the capital’s water supply, as well as interruptions in the operation of public electric transport. Specialists from Kyivvodokanal are trying to stabilize the voltage in the system and restore water supply.
Heating points are also being set up in some districts, Klitschko reported.
Earlier, the head of the Desnianskyi district state administration in Kyiv, Maksym Bakhmatov, said that some homes in Kyiv had been without electricity for more than 37 hours, and in some cases without water supply as well.
