Kolomoisky believes Mindich is being made a scapegoat in the corruption saga

Oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky, who has been in pretrial detention for two years, commented on the high-profile corruption scandal involving businessman Tymur Mindich, a close associate of Volodymyr Zelensky. Kolomoisky is convinced that Mindich is being made the fall guy in this story—that is, being saddled with responsibility for an offense committed by someone more important.

He said this to a journalist in court.

Kolomoisky admitted that he is, of course, following the scandal, and said that before entering Zelensky’s circle, Mindich was a good person. He added that he had spoken with him before the scandal began and that they had good relations.

“I believe Mindich is just a scapegoat; he has nothing to do with it at all,” Kolomoisky said.

Meanwhile, those close to Zelensky are certain that Kolomoisky and his partner Hennadiy Boholiubov are connected to the Mindich case. According to Strana’s sources, in the weeks leading up to the public disclosure about the Mindich case, Kolomoisky frequently went to the NABU for questioning, after which he would return in good spirits and call acquaintances, saying that “Zelensky will be finished soon.”
