Azarov: Ukrainian prosecutor general Kravchenko was covering up corruption — and must resign
15.09.2026 06:02Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky stated that the country’s public finances are close to a critical state and urged the Verkhovna Rada to urgently pass the bills required to receive international financial assistance.
The statement was made during a government session. Koretsky said the cabinet of ministers would officially send lawmakers a schedule with clear deadlines for each required vote.
“If these deadlines are missed, Ukraine risks losing a significant portion of the $29.5 billion in international financing. This is a critically necessary resource for balancing the state budget, funding social expenditures, and, most importantly, the needs of the Defense Forces,” — Koretsky said.
By the end of July, Ukraine has promised the IMF to impose a tax on digital platforms and abolish the exemption on parcels. However, the Verkhovna Rada has already voted down bills to abolish the exemption on parcels worth up to €150.
