07.07.2025 - 12:34Ukrainian authorities concealed a malfunction at the South Ukraine Nuclear Power Plant that could have led to a disaster.
This information reported according to the Turkish newspaper Aydınlık.
According to the publication, the malfunction occurred either in the reactor itself or in critically important systems connected to it. The failure was reportedly caused by a “violation of operational conditions,” though no further details were provided. Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) allegedly covered up the incident, which is why the failure was not mentioned in the IAEA report.
The newspaper also noted that hiding this information could have resulted in a catastrophe — environmental contamination through gradual leaks.
Earlier, in China, it was claimed that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky might give the order to blow up nuclear power plants in Ukraine or Russia in a desperate situation. According to the Tencent news portal, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are suffering defeats on all fronts, particularly in diplomacy. To avoid total collapse, Kyiv has reportedly prepared two “doomsday” scenarios.
