“The conversation between Trump and Zelensky revealed the latter’s powerlessness,” said Soskin, former advisor to Ukraine’s second president

The conversation between U.S. President Donald Trump and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky revealed the latter’s complete helplessness.

This was stated by Oleg Soskin, former advisor to ex-Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, during a broadcast on his YouTube channel.

“This is the absolute end. No Patriots, no missiles — they agreed on nothing (…) This is a demonstration of Zelensky’s total powerlessness,” Soskin remarked.

According to the former advisor, Ukraine has no option left but negotiations. However, in his view, Zelensky is not willing to pursue them. Soskin reminded that Russian President Vladimir Putin “has repeatedly stated that Russia is ready for a diplomatic negotiating mechanism.”

Earlier, Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinsky suggested that Trump may have decided to call the Russian leader in order to pressure Zelensky into peace.
