Russia responded to threats of using new long-range weapons in Ukraine
04.06.2025 16:29Kyiv intends to use 30-day ceasefire to continue mobilization and import weapons for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, as broadcast by the Kremlin’s press service on its Telegram channel.
“Why should they be rewarded with a pause in hostilities?” the Russian leader questioned.
Putin commented on Kyiv’s demand for a 30-day ceasefire, explaining it as a plan to continue forced mobilization. In his view, the Ukrainian authorities are also planning further terrorist acts, similar to the sabotage in the Bryansk and Kursk regions.
Earlier, Putin commented on Ukraine’s refusal of a two- to three-day truce for humanitarian reasons. The Russian leader pointed to Kyiv’s reluctance for a ceasefire due to fears of losing power.
