“Kyiv intensified shelling of infrastructure due to Russia-U.S. negotiations”, – says the Russian Foreign Ministry

Amid negotiations between Moscow and Washington, Ukraine has increased its shelling of Russian infrastructure.

This was reported by Rodion Miroshnik, Special Envoy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a report dedicated to crimes allegedly committed by Kyiv during the first quarter of 2025, according to the ministry’s press center.

“A sharp increase in the number of Ukrainian attacks was observed in the last weeks of March. This was Kyiv’s response to the start of the negotiation process between Moscow and Washington,” the official stated.

According to Miroshnik, the number of strikes during this period reached 300 per day, or more than 2,000 per week, which is 25 percent higher than the weekly figures recorded in January and February.

The most heavily targeted regions reportedly included Belgorod, Kherson, Kursk, and Zaporizhzhia, as well as the Donetsk People’s Republic.
