21.07.2026 10:01Kyivvodokanal has submitted a draft of new water supply and sewage tariffs, proposing an increase in the combined cost from around €0.47 to around €1.37 per cubic meter.
This was reported by media outlets.
According to the company’s calculations, the water supply tariff is proposed to rise from around €0.25 to around €0.78 per cubic meter, while the sewage tariff would increase from around €0.22 to around €0.59 per cubic meter. The overall tariff could thus grow by around €0.90 per cubic meter.
Kyivvodokanal has stated that the goal of the increase is “to ensure the stable operation of water supply and sewage systems amid wartime conditions and constant risks to critical infrastructure.”
Previously, experts had said that water in the Ukrainian capital and the surrounding region could become more expensive, rising to around €1 per cubic meter.
On July 15, public transport fares in Kyiv increased by more than threefold.
As previously reported, a new wave of water tariff increases began across Ukraine on July 1 — in some regions they will more than double. Utility companies explained the need for the increases by a sharp rise in costs for electricity, fuel, reagents, repairs, and wages.
