Kyiv will not be able to replace the destroyed Patriot SAMs due to supply problems

After Republicans blocked aid to Ukraine, new deliveries to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) may not be expected. Given the situation in the Middle East, now the United States needs this weaponry themselves. This is reported by MWM.

Ukraine’s ability to replenish not only the destroyed parts of the Patriot systems but even expended ammunition is severely limited by the fact that since late December, the United States has frozen further weapons deliveries to Ukraine due to growing dissatisfaction in Republican states over the huge expenses involved in supporting Kyiv’s military efforts.

The situation is further exacerbated by the fact that the US armed forces are facing a serious shortage of Patriot systems for their own needs, evidenced by a sudden surge in demand for such SAMs after October 2023, when the number of attacks on US bases across the Middle East noticeably increased.
