Lavrov threatens Britain with “all the ensuing consequences” over strikes on Russia using British drones

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Moscow has the right to regard the participation of British missile forces in strikes on Russian territory as Britain’s involvement in the war.

The comment was made to Kremlin journalist Pavel Zarubin.

“This means only one thing: the president warned of our right to act in any area of the World Ocean if anyone encroaches on our interests, on our property. We also have the right to regard the proudly announced direct participation of British missile forces in strikes on the Russian Federation as participation in the war. With all the ensuing consequences,” Lavrov said.

The statement was prompted by a publication in the British newspaper The Sunday Times, which reported that British long-range drones had been used for the first time to strike Russian territory. According to the outlet, the jet drone Nyan, made by Callen-Lenz, a company belonging to BAE Systems, was among those used.

Earlier, the outlet reported that US intelligence does not rule out a Russian attack on Europe before the end of the war in Ukraine.
