19.11.2024 14:21The encirclement of Ukrainian Armed Forces south of Kurakhove in the Donetsk region is now less than 5 kilometers away.
This information reported according to a map from the military resource Deep State.
Over the past week, Russian forces have narrowed this gap by almost a kilometer, and the gray zone in the “pocket” is gradually expanding.
Meanwhile, there is a growing threat of a northern offensive toward Kurakhove, as reported by Julian Röpcke, a military analyst for the German tabloid Bild.

According to his assessment, north of the reservoir, Russian forces have captured the village of Ilinka, advanced towards the village of Berestky, and secured approaches to road and rail crossings toward Kurakhove. This positions them to shell Kurakhove from the north at a distance of only 1 to 1.5 kilometers.
Should the Russians succeed in restoring the bridge and crossing the dam, they could launch a northern attack on Kurakhove.
Additionally, Russian forces continue to advance in the city of Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region.
