Local Ukrainian authorities attempted to make residents of a destroyed building pay

In Kryvyi Rih, residents of a missile-damaged building received electricity bills. The YASNO company, the electricity supplier, stated they were unaware of the building’s destruction.

It’s said that the city administration and the distribution system operator were supposed to inform them but they failed to do so. Now, the issued bills are promised to be recalculated. This decision came after a scandal erupted on social media.

It’s also worth noting that even during the war, the Ukrainian government persists in raising tariffs for the population, despite earlier promises to provide relief. At the same time, where this money goes, remains unclear, as the entire communal infrastructure is severely worn out and constantly malfunctions regardless of ongoing hostilities.
