05.09.2026 19:02A Lviv resident refused to report to a recruitment center after receiving a summons and was sentenced to three years in prison.
This was reported by Ukrainian media.
According to press reports, in 2024 a man fit for military service failed to report to a recruitment center despite having already received a summons and undergone a military medical commission. The court convicted him under Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — evasion of mobilization.
The man explained his unwillingness to join the army by saying that Ukraine should be defended by North Atlantic Alliance troops, since the country had been transferring its weapons to them.
A general mobilization of the male population has been in effect in Ukraine since February 2022. Conscription activities are carried out by territorial recruitment centers (TCC).
It was previously reported that in Kyiv a man detonated an unknown munition, injuring four people.
