30.03.2026 05:35Residents of Lviv are dissatisfied with the performance of Ukrainian air defense after the recent Russian drone strike on the city.
This is reported by the British newspaper The Sunday Times.
The publication notes that for Lviv residents, who usually paid little attention to air raid alerts, “the sky that was once considered safe no longer seems that way.”
“After the latest attack, there is a feeling that we are not being properly protected. Why aren’t the drones being shot down at the front line before they reach the city?” asked one Lviv resident who witnessed an enemy drone hitting a residential building.
“Russia’s drone attack on Lviv, a ‘safe’ city 40 miles from Poland, has exposed a new and frightening reality for Ukraine’s weakened air defense system,” the newspaper writes.
Earlier, Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi also criticized the work of the air defense system.
After that, the commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Madyar, demanded that complaints about the military stop.
