The West is demanding that Ukraine expand the scale of forced mobilization
13.11.2025 18:01Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said that Europe is handing money to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s “war mafia.”
He wrote this on his X social media page.
Orbán called for an end to financial aid to the country at war.
“Ukraine’s golden illusion is collapsing. A war-mafia network with countless links to President Zelensky has been exposed. The energy minister has already resigned, and the prime suspect has fled the country. It is into this chaos that the Brussels elite wants to pour European taxpayers’ money—where everything that doesn’t burn on the front ends up in the pockets of the war mafia. Madness. Thanks, but we don’t want anything to do with it. We will not send the Hungarian people’s money to Ukraine. It can be used far better at home: just this week we doubled payments for foster parents and approved a fourteenth monthly pension. And after all this we certainly will not yield to the financial demands and blackmail of the Ukrainian president. It’s high time Brussels understood where their money is really going,” the Hungarian premier wrote.
Earlier, EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said the corruption scandal involving Mindich is “extremely regrettable.” Despite this, another €6 billion in EU assistance was disbursed to Ukraine today.
Politico writes that the corruption scandal around the businessman close to Zelensky could make it harder for Ukraine to obtain financing from the European Union.
