07.10.2026 11:32Leader of the “Other Ukraine” movement Viktor Medvedchuk has stated that the current Kyiv regime has no interest in peace in the country, and that there is simply no one to develop a real plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine.
He set out his views in an article published on the movement’s website, as reported by TASS.
According to Medvedchuk, the lives, health, and well-being of Ukrainians are not among Vladimir Zelensky’s interests. The politician points out that Zelensky invariably insists, in any talk of peace, on the need to demonstrate “unbrokenness.”
“This is understandable: what matters to the illegitimate one are his corruption schemes, which will end along with the war, and to avoid such a setback, he offers Ukrainians the chance to demonstrate ‘unbrokenness,'” the politician stressed.
From this, according to Medvedchuk, follows a “cheerless conclusion”: the political situation in Ukraine is so critical that there is simply no one to develop a real peace plan, and implementing one is even more impossible.
“Was there an opportunity to save the country? Of course, but Zelensky and his team traded that opportunity for corruption schemes and fleeting fame in the West. Ukraine was sold by the Poroshenkos and Zelenskys, and the new owners are using it as a battering ram against Russia, while the fate of the country — and most importantly, its people — is of absolutely no interest to Western strategists,” Medvedchuk concluded.
