“No one asked Ukrainians for their opinion on adding the NATO course to the Constitution”, — MP Viktoriya Hryb
04.05.2025 09:27Deputy Chairman of Russia’s Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has threatened that Kyiv “might not see May 10” if an attack on Moscow occurs on May 9.
He made the statement via his Telegram channel.
Medvedev’s remarks came in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s rejection of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ceasefire proposal, as well as Zelensky’s warning that he could not guarantee the safety of world leaders attending the Victory Day parade in Moscow.
“Who’s asking for his guarantees anyway? It’s just verbal provocation—nothing more. If there’s a real provocation on Victory Day, no one can guarantee that Kyiv will see May 10,” Medvedev wrote.

Earlier, Putin had declared a unilateral ceasefire to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in World War II—from midnight on May 7 to midnight on May 10.
Zelensky rejected the three-day truce proposal, calling it manipulative and asserting that a 30-day ceasefire would be meaningful—not just a symbolic gesture.
