October 21, 2025Employees of Ukraine’s territorial recruitment and social support centers (TCCs) are deliberately positioning their body cameras during street mobilization raids so that the footage ends up showing nothing.
This information reported according to Servant of the People party MP Oleksandr Fedienko, who wrote about the issue on his Telegram channel.
The lawmaker said he personally witnessed a case of forced mobilization — several men wearing hoods and glasses forced a civilian into a private car while police were present. The TCC staff claimed their appearance was due to the cold weather.
“I asked, ‘Why did you shove the man into a civilian car?’ The police officer said he was wanted and showed me. I said, ‘Okay, then why didn’t you detain him and put him in a police car?’ He said, ‘We don’t have enough cars,’” Fedienko recounted.
He noted that recruitment officers deliberately hang their body cameras in a way that prevents recording how they treat people.
“But here’s the nuance: the soldiers’ body cameras were hanging in such a way that they couldn’t possibly record anything. I think this issue needs to be regulated so that cameras are placed exactly where they should be. I’ll file an inquiry,” Fedienko promised.
The MP also added that in this particular case, the police officer did not enter the detainee’s data into his tablet, even though the man had already been taken to the TCC — in a civilian car.
As a reminder, TCC officers in Ukraine have been required to wear body cameras since September 1.
