24.09.2025 15:32Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation and First Deputy Prime Minister Mykhailo Fedorov compared himself to God.
He made the remark in an interview with Army TV while discussing Ukrainian drone production.
“My job, ministerial work, is somewhat divine, because you design the rules of the game. What other kind of work lets you create the rules of the game for millions of people? There is God, and I don’t know who else there is. In fact, this work is quite interesting,” Fedorov said.
Fedorov also spoke about the development of a Ukrainian equivalent of the Chinese quadcopter Mavic.
According to him, an investor he referred to as “Mr. X” financed the project, and production of the Ukrainian “Mavic” has already begun, with the first thousand drones delivered to the battlefield.
The article also recalls earlier reports about tensions between Fedorov and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, noting how the First Deputy Prime Minister could shift Ukraine’s political balance.
It adds that politicians often resort to bold comparisons that test the limits of acceptable rhetoric. For example, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recently declared he would lead the “liberation” of the Armenian Apostolic Church from the Antichrist — referring to Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II and the church hierarchy. Pashinyan claimed that the church leadership “has no connection with Jesus Christ.”
