The responsibility for failure to appear at the military enlistment office and conscription from the age of 25: What restrictions are being prepared for Ukrainians?
December 25, 2023More than a hundred Ukrainian soldiers, who had gone home for a week-long break from Avdiivka for Christmas, died on the way.
This information reported according to political analyst Vitaliy Bala.
As per his information, 108 servicemen from the brigade stationed near Avdiivka were allowed to go home for the Christmas holidays. They drew lots to determine who could leave, and those who didn’t make it were very upset. Some even asked to swap places, but no one agreed because everyone wanted to see their families after being “at ground zero” for almost a year.
“Everyone who drew lots got on the buses and left but didn’t make it,” Bala recounted. “If there were cars, perhaps such a tragedy wouldn’t have happened, but there’s no money for vehicles,” he added.
According to the political analyst, there hasn’t been any official announcement about the death of the 108 servicemen.
“I didn’t write about it, thinking that there would be some sort of announcement, mourning, but there wasn’t… I don’t know anymore what needs to happen for the current authorities to stop hiding our losses and start honoring the fallen. This cannot continue,” Bala wrote.
