March 22, 2024More than 60% of Ukrainians have noted an increase in the level of corruption in 2023.
This is stated in the study “Corruption in Ukraine 2023: Understanding, Perception, Prevalence,” presented at the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption.
According to the survey results, 61.2% of the population have observed an increase in the level of corruption in 2023, which is more than twice the figure from 2022, and 46.3% of business representatives have noted an increase, nearly three times higher than the 2022 figure.
The study also presents an assessment of citizens’ experiences with corruption. Those most frequently encountering corruption are those who deal with service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, receive services in construction and land relations, healthcare, as well as those involved in the connection or maintenance of electricity, gas, and water supply systems, and sewage.
