“TCC staff enjoy persecuting men,” – MP Voytsekhovskyi says
03.06.2025 12:16Sumy Region was not ready for the recent Russian offensive, despite having the chance during the Kursk operation.
This was stated on social media by Stanislav Buniyatov, a fighter from the “Aidar” battalion, and by Member of Parliament Maryana Bezuhla.
Buniyatov, in the Telegram channel “They Say Sniper,” compared the situation in the region to a training ground, rather than a well-fortified defensive position.
“Having such a reliable rear in Sumy region during the Kursk operation, we still couldn’t build a proper defensive line to protect it now. What I’m seeing with my own eyes is just a training ground, nothing more,” the fighter wrote.
Bezuhla, in turn, placed the blame on Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, and called on residents of frontline areas of the region to evacuate.
“They didn’t use the Kursk operation to prepare Sumy for defense. There’s little to hope for: it’s a constant mess there and the usual stupid, brutal decisions from Syrskyi with his micromanagement. The president is not making decisions. The problems are getting worse. The fortifications are the worst prepared among all risky regions. This is the fault of both the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the regional military administration (OVA),” Bezuhla wrote.
