MP Bezuhla accused the command of poor preparation of Sumy region for the Russian offensive
03.06.2025 12:05In the foreseeable future, a meeting between the Presidents of Russia, the United States, and Ukraine is unlikely.
This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov to Russian journalists.
“President Putin supports the idea of contacts, but he believes that they should be well-prepared. These contacts should be the result of agreements already worked out at the technical and expert levels,” said Putin’s press secretary.
He also commented on yesterday’s negotiations between the delegations from Kyiv and Moscow in Istanbul. According to him, “important agreements” were reached there, which “will be implemented,” but Peskov urged people not to expect “instant decisions and breakthroughs.” He allowed for the possibility of compromises by Russia on certain points of the memorandum but noted that this is “a topic for negotiations that cannot be public.”
“This is a topic for the negotiation process, a matter for the negotiation process, which cannot be carried out publicly,” Peskov said.
He also reported that Putin had been receiving real-time updates about the attack on Russian airfields.
“We have said that the president was receiving real-time information about what happened — that’s the first point. You know that an investigation has been launched by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. There was also a corresponding statement by the Ministry of Defense. I suggest waiting for the results of the investigation and focusing on the contents of the statement by the Russian Ministry of Defense,” Peskov said.
